How to Install Your Vinyl Decal

Installing a vinyl decal is easier than it looks. Just go slow, keep everything clean, and do not rush the placement.

Things you will need:

Microfiber towel/paper towel - Water - Soap/Rubbing Alcohol - Squeege/Card
Knife/Scissors - Tape
DO NOT USE GLASS CLEANER

In order for your decal to stick properly to a surface, it should be completely free of:
- RainX - Wax - Ceramic coating - Glass sealant - Oil - Dirt - Ammonia based clear residue - Soap residue

Step 1: Clean your surface, wipe thoroughly and allow to dry completely.

Step 2: Prepare your decal. Firmly go over the surface of your decal to ensure that the transfer tape and vinyl are properly sticking together.

Step 3: Position/hinge your decal. Place the decal still on backing sheet where you plan to install it. Use tape to to securely hold your decal in place. Best done through the middle of decal.

Step 4: Remove backing. Peel the backing paper away from transfer tape at a 45 degree angle. If the vinyl stick to backing sheet, rub it back down and try again.

Step 5: Apply your decal. Use scissors/knife to cut away backing sheet. Slowly lower your decal while using your squeege to apply starting from the middle doing outward movements to push air out from under your decal.
Step 6: Repeat steps 4 & 5 to apply other half of decal.
Step 7: Slowly peel away transfer tape at a 45 degree angle. If decal starts the life, rub it back down and try again.

WET METHOD
Step 1: Clean and prepare your surface.
Step 2: Spray the suface. Lighty spray the installation surface with application fluid or mixture of water + 1-2 drops of dish soap. Do not oversaturate.
Step 3: Apply your decal. Peel away backing sheet from decal, position your decal on the wet surface and slide it gently to align it into positon.
Step 4: Squeege out the fluid. Starting the center, use your squeege or card to push mixture and air bubbles outwards. Use firm even pressure.
Step 5: Trim away any excess pieces of vinyl using your knife. Press down all edges, then slowly remove transfer tape at a 45 degree angle. Allow decal to dry fully before washing or touching.
